The Book Exchange is a casual bi-monthly chat about books. Share what you're reading, what you've just finished, or what you're obsessing over at the moment. Each session will have a suggested theme. However, all books are welcome!
We meet bi-monthly on the last Sunday of the month at 10 am (EST) on Zoom. The next Book Exchange is on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Members met virtually for the first time on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The suggested theme for September was free-for-all. OHS members shared that they tend to read more non-fiction, but prefer reading fiction. Book topics ranged from the history of Britain's Special Air Service (SAS) to a memoir about grief and to childhood nostalgia. Check out all the book titles discussed!
Non-Fiction:
Rogue Heroes (Ben MacIntyre)
Things in Nature Merely Grow (Yiyun Li)
Istanbul (travel guides)
Fiction:
Blacktop Wasteland (S.A. Cosby)
Razorblade Tears (S.A. Cosby)
Travels with My Aunt (Graham Greene)
The Tenth Man (Graham Greene)
The Iliad (Homer)
The Odyssey (Homer)
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series (Naoko Takeuchi)
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card series (Clamp)
Thank you to all who helped with the program and--of course--all who attended. If you missed the first meet up, join us for the next book chat!
Date: Sunday, November 30, 2025
