Across Ontario, thousands of people are currently waiting for a life-saving transplant and behind every number is a person, a family, and a story of resilience and hope.

 

One organ donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of many more through tissue donation. Increasing awareness and encouraging people to register as donors can make a life-changing difference for patients and families across our communities.

 

This “Gift of Life” initiative is about more than awareness—it’s about giving hope, saving lives, and encouraging all of us to consider the powerful impact of organ donation.

 

Guest speaker Russell D’Abreu as a single lung transplant recipient and ambassador for the Trillium Gift of Life Network will help bring this message to life. Russell received a second chance at life thanks to the generosity of an organ donor. Russell now dedicates his time to sharing his journey and advocating for organ donation so that others can receive the same life-saving gift.
