Humanists around the world stand up for women’s rights in Poland
Last week, the Polish Constitutional Court ruled that abortions due to severe and irreversible foetal defects are unconstitutional. This means that abortions will now only be allowed in cases of rape, incest, or where the mother’s life is at risk. This ruling constitutes a further worsening of women’s rights in Poland, which were already under threat by the rise of religious conservatism.
Humanists International calls on humanists from all around the world to show their support to women in Poland by sharing photos on social media with the hashtag #WeStandWithPolishWomen
